Pastor Larry was called into ministry after a 28-year career with the Hamilton County, Ohio Sheriff’s Patrol where he had attained the rank of Captain--Patrol Section Commander.   After several years of jail and prison ministry, Larry authored Thinking About Jail and Prison Ministry, a Guide for the Lay Volunteer, a book which has become the standard training manual for several national prison ministries. 

Larry has a B.A. in Church Administration from Trinity College of the Bible, and a Certificate of Congregational Leadership from Baptist Theological Seminary of Richmond VA.  Larry served for several years as Administrative Pastor and Director of Small Groups Ministry of First Christian Church of Harrison (now Legacy Christian Church.) 

Larry and his wife Teri, married for 38 years, are life-long residents of the tri-state area and currently reside in West Harrison, IN.  Larry and Teri are both active in the Southeast Indiana Emmaus Community and nursing home ministry at Shawneespring Health Care Center.  Larry is a founding member and Vice-President of the Board of Transforming Jail Ministries, a corrections ministry serving the Greater Cincinnati area.  Teri has worked in the medical profession for over 40 years.  Larry and Teri have a daughter, Emily, who lives in Cincinnati, and a son, Ethan, a professional firefighter who lives in Harrison, Ohio with his wife, Betsy.
